The apartment is on a quiet, private, mainly residential complex just 10 minutes walk from the heart of Callao Salvaje, Adeje (South West of the island), where you will find plenty of restaurants,bars and shops/supermarkets that are open till late.

There is a bus stop right outside the complex which takes you to many places on the island very cheaply along with a 24hr Taxi rank nearby!
Playa de Las Americas ,Fanabe and Torviscas beach is just a 10 minute drive away and Los Cristianos is only a 15 minute drive away, all very popular but busier tourist areas. Los Gigantes is 20 mins drive up the coast road to the north.
If you are into golf, there are several courses nearby, including the luxury Abama golf complex just 5 minutes drive away!
The nearest airport is Tenerife South (Reina Sofia) which is a 30 minute drive either by motorway or using the more picturesque roads through several local towns.
Other information about Callao Salvaje-
Beach-The pebble beach is being replaced by a beautiful sandy beach at the moment and phase one should be complete by the end of July 11.
Restaurants- Our favorites are Delfin, next to the Atlantic Hotel and the Sorpresa Sorpresa (French) next to the Hiper Dino supermarket. There is also an indian restaurant which has had good reviews and several other decent places to eat.
Supermarkets-There are 3 supermarkets, some sell familiar brands you would find at home and are open till midnight. The larger shopping malls and supermarkets are a 5 minute drive and are located near the motorway island. English papers and magazines are available daily from the village.
Banks-There are plenty of cashpoints available in Callao Salvaje, near to the Summerfield supermarket and taxi/bus stops.
General-There is a doctors surgery in the village.

Car Hire Tenerife - We have used Autoreisen a number of times,and although some of the fleet is a little tired, we have had no major problems with them overall. A local company,usually the cheapest but expect a car with a few scrapes and dents (the norm in Tenerife!)
To the north is Los Gigantes,a lovely village built into the mountains which is a 20 minute drive or 45 mins on the bus.(pictures below)
